Peter N. Moss is a principal in the New York City, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Since joining the firm in 1991, he has focused his practice on traditional labor matters.

Peter focuses his practice on the provision of advice to employers in preventive labor relations matters, corporate campaigns (including the development of corporate philosophies, communications and strategies for identifying and responding to a campaign), collective bargaining negotiations (including the development of nationwide strategies for multi-facility negotiations), contract administration, labor disputes, training, mergers, acquisitions, management agreements, leases and other corporate transactions, as well as the representation of employers before courts and administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board.

In a decision of great import to the New York City hospitality industry, a federal court has held that a New York City statute mandating payment of severance benefits to certain covered hotel service employees was not preempted by ERISA. RHC Operating, LLC v. City of New York, 1:21-cv-09322-JPO (S.D.N.Y. Mar. 30, 2022).
